EU-fin has three menus for different roles (users) in an FP7 project:

- Coordinator menu
- Beneficiary menu
- Work Package menu

The Work Package menu enables the Work Package Leader to access the information in EU-fin that is relevant to his or her Work Package(s). At any given moment a Work Package Leader has insight into the financial situation in his or her Work Package(s). The planned budgets and actual costs of all beneficiaries in a Work Package are shown along with the ready-to-export reports.

Financial management
For comprehensive financial management, the Work Package menu has been extended with deliverable management and a status report. These two functions make it possible to combine the financial progress with the actual progress of the deliverables. Work Package Leaders can monitor the actual status of the Work Package budget and state the percentage that is completed. With the status report, the Work Package Leader can describe the progress of the deliverables in a Work Package, and indicate if the progress is on track or behind schedule.

For the project office of an FP7 project this increases the insight into the progress of the project and makes it easier to coordinate the project funds. Furthermore, all reported progress is bundled in a management report that can be exported from EU-fin.
