Feedback results in a new way of setting status in EU-xpert

Feedback from users is being addressed by developing new functionality relating to setting the status of an assignment. For example, the status can be ‘open’, ‘done’, ‘closed’ or ‘signed off’. An easier way of changing this status will be available soon.
An assignment is linked to a particular part of the FP7 report: a specific editable box (for example a ‘task’ or a ‘summary’ or ‘results’). One or more users who are linked to that assignment by the coordinator are responsible for editing that specific editable box. The assignments on the homepage will re-route the users directly to the specific editable box.
The ‘assign’ button now has added functionality. It is positioned between the ‘changes’ and ‘edit’ buttons, which are located above the specific editable box.
If an assignment has been assigned to you and is still open, the background colour of the button is red.
While working in the editable box all the related assignments will be highlighted showing the status: ‘open’, ‘done’, ‘closed’ or ‘signed off’. Now you can easily alter the status of the assignments.
When the coordinator creates an assignment, a default text is suggested. The template of the FP7 report determines this default text, and the text of an assignment has the following structure: section 3, WP 4, task 4.2, [title]. The coordinator can then organize the overview of tasks by text and status. He has a clear overview of the project and can intervene when necessary.
