EU-fin can be used for all kinds of funding schemes such as Collaborative Project, Coordination Support Actions and Network of Excellence.

Data is entered into EU-fin by means of user-friendly web-based forms. These web-based forms are defined according to the structure and needs of the project. Each user utilizes the same intuitive web-based forms to enter their budgets and costs in the EU-fin database. This ensures that all data are collected and stored in a uniform and structured way.

EU-fin is based entirely on EC reporting requirements and contains all the Commission’s reports required by a Project Coordinator. The reports can be exported to Excel and Word and as PDF files.

EU-fin automatically generates the FORM C figures report based on EC financial regulations relating to the selected funding scheme and the input of project participants. This report is fully compatible and can be easily submitted with FORCE.

EU-fin’s reporting module enables a Project Coordinator to create all kind of reports and make them available to the partners in the consortium. The module comprises datasets in which users can easily combine and aggregate all kind of data such as budgets, costs, maximum EC-contribution, requested EC-contribution, accepted EC-contribution, payments, person-months etc. The reports can be exported to Excel and Word and as PDF files.

There is a personal account for each user, with secure login.

EU-fin can easily be adapted to accomodate changes to the project. EU-fin is thus always up-to-date with a project's current situation.

After partners have submitted their input in EU-fin and the input is finalized, the Project Coordinator can close a specific period to avoid changes to the data. The Project Coordinator can still make changes or re-open the period.

The Project Coordinator can e-mail partners from EU-fin. The e-mail can be sent to groups of users or a single user only.

EU-fin can be used for all other financial management processes: the calculation and administration of payments and FORM-C administration.
